 No.1 @ Broad Street was formally known as 'The Fox & Badger Steak House Restaurant'. This was a very popular venue with both locals and people from all over the country. It is now owned by Jim and Elin Nevin, and it is their intention to carry on this tradition.
They will source most of their products locally, the beef, pork and the lamb will be supplied by Williams of Weobley. Jim will then hang the beef for another 21 days until it is mature enough to eat. The menu will consist of good home cooked English and Irish dishes with seasonal fruit and vegetables from local suppliers.
 Both Jim and Elin have spent 40 years in the catering trade in Ireland, Switzerland and Denmark and for the last few years in Kerin Bridge, Ross-on-Wye.
Jim has been a past Regional President of the Panel of Chefs of Ireland. He has been an International Judge at cookery competitions such as 'Chef Ireland' and has represented Ireland at 'The European Fish Chef of the Year' in Copenhagen. He now intends to use all this experience to cook in his new restaurant. |
